LA Yarn Crawl with Alamitos Bay Yarn Company
The Los Angeles County Yarn Crawl is back and we can’t wait! It’s so exciting that this great fiber-filled adventure across LA is returning for their 10th Crawl in 2022 and we can’t wait to see all the fiber friends we’ve missed over the past couple of years! We have a bunch of fun things planned for the Truck and know you’ll want to come and find us!
We’ll have two yarn trunk shows on the Truck for all four days of the crawl, plus a special show color to offer! Western Sky Knits will be on our feature wall with four different bases and ten different colors for each. Kim is sending us skeins of Smooth Sock, Zebra Fingering (a new base for her), MCS Fingering, and Merino 17 DK. We love her colors and can’t wait to share these with all of you!
Our alternate wall will be filled with 10 different colors from Inner Yarn Zen’s Outlander collection on both their Superwash Fingering and DK. We’re so excited to be showing these off, as the 6th season of this fantastic show will be going strong when we get to the Crawl! Plus, we’re featuring their gorgeous ‘67 Mustang as our show color on Superwash Fingering! Definitely find the Truck to get some of this gorgeous colorway!
Our Featured yarns are from our friends at Destination Yarn. Both Passport Fingering and Silver Shiny DK will be available at a 15% discount to all crawlers who visit the Truck during the four days of the Crawl. Since this is the 10th Crawl, we’re able to increase the usual 10% discount, isn’t this great news!
To show off these featured yarns, we’ll have two free patterns! Our Free Knit pattern is a new design from Afifa using the Silver Shiny DK and our Free Crochet Pattern is a new design from Maridee Dangcil using the Passport. The Truck is stocked with lots of beautiful colors in both bases, so you’ll have lots to choose from!
The 2022 Los Angeles Yarn Crawl will take place from Thursday, March 24th through Sunday, March 27th! As always, we’ll be bringing the Truck to different parts of the county and are super excited to be partnering with a few of our favorite yarn shops! Here is where you’ll be able to find the Truck during the Crawl:
- Thursday 3/24 – The Altered Stitch 10 am – 6 pm
- Friday 3/25 – Alamitos Bay Yarn Company 9 am – 6 pm
- Saturday 3/26 – The Knitting Tree LA 10 am – 6 pm
- Sunday 3/37 – Buku Yarns 10 am – 6 pm
For those visiting the Truck, we’ll have some daily prize drawings and some other fun things to give away to all crawlers! See you on the Truck during the LA County Yarn Crawl!
Please remember, we require everyone shopping on the Truck to please wear a mask and use hand sanitizer (provided by us) as you enter the Truck. We’re also limiting the number of shoppers on the Truck to 2 people, or one household, at a time. None of this will change during the Crawl so when you arrive, there might be a line. Please bring along something to work on while you wait!!
