Merida
The first color in Year 4 of the Yarnover Truck’s Super Nerdy Yarn Club is based on the Disney character of Merida from Brave.
You know that we love so many of the Disney & Marvel characters and that when you start looking for Strong & Female Nerdy Characters for inspiration, there are lots to choose from here. So you won’t be surprised that we included Princess Merida of DunBroch in Year 4. She is the 11th Disney Princess and her character is described as being very brave, bold, daring, courageous, stubborn, rebellious & headstrong. All characteristics that we admire!
When you think Merida, it’s usually the bright orange hair that you envision but for this yarn color, Leann chose to use all the colors in this image. You’ll notice the orange is used more as a compliment than the main color. Plus all the colors in the club are dyed to work together and that bright orange would definitely stand out too much from the other colors in this set. We love this colorway and hope you do too!
Here are all the different images of the yarn to help you see how it will look unwound and worked up. You’ll see it in a skein, in a pile and wound into a ball. Plus, there are images of several swatches, in both knit and crochet. Our hope is that these images will help give you an idea of how the color will look worked into a project. All of these images show the color in the Pride base so you’ll notice they all have just a hint of sparkkle!
